The Assistant General Restaurant Manager (ARGM) position at Church's Chicken is a pivotal role that reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager. This role involves hands-on management of daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, and supporting the implementation of Church's initiatives and programs. The ARGM plays a key role in driving the restaurant's financial success by helping to achieve or exceed sales and profitability targets, managing all banking responsibilities, and overseeing administrative tasks. This position is integral to maintaining Church’s high standards for food quality, safety, and customer service excellence.
As an Assistant General Restaurant Manager, the individual will collaborate closely with all team members to maintain appropriate staffing levels, oversee employee training, and foster a positive and productive work environment. The ARGM assists with weekly scheduling and supports staff during peak business periods, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. The position also includes responsibilities such as administering timely paperwork, maintaining accurate inventory records, enforcing company policies and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and upholding cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility.
This role requires a dynamic leader with excellent interpersonal and managerial skills who can handle conflict resolution, recruit and interview potential team members, and coach employees towards professional growth. The ARGM must exhibit a strong sense of urgency in responding to guest needs and complaints, striving always to exceed guest expectations and promote a culture of exceptional service. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry
- ServSafe food safety training highly recommended
Job Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of valid insurance
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Must be available to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices and operational and HR procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of profit and loss statements
- Ability to implement policies and procedures
- Skilled in developing employees through coaching and counseling
- Ability to improve customer satisfaction continuously
- Knowledge of recruiting and interviewing team members

Job Duties
- Assist Restaurant General Manager in ensuring all employees are trained
- Assist in maintaining appropriate staffing and prepare weekly schedules
- Help staff during high volume periods
- Administer paperwork timely
- Analyze profit and loss statements and meet sales plans
- Maintain and record accurate inventory
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Maintain company operations standards and compliance
- Ensure federal, state and local laws and regulations are followed
- Maintain clean facility at all times
- Deliver consistent, high quality products every shift
- Perform other duties as assigned
