The role of Assistant General Restaurant Manager (ARGM) at Church's Chicken is a critical position within the Field Operations department and reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager. This position plays a hands-on role in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure that service, quality, and profitability benchmarks are consistently met or exceeded. The ARGM assists the General Manager in overseeing staff training, scheduling, inventory control, adherence to company policies, and implementation of initiatives designed to improve sales and operational efficiency. This role requires a leader who can both manage and work alongside their team, especially during high-volume service periods, providing the necessary support and guidance to ensure excellent guest experiences.
Additionally, the ARGM is responsible for handling administrative duties including banking, maintaining accurate records, and analyzing financial reports such as profit and loss statements. The position demands strong organizational skills to manage the flow of paperwork and compliance with federal, state, and local laws concerning health, safety, and employment regulations. Maintaining a clean and safe facility is paramount, as is the delivery of consistent, high-quality food products every shift. Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- a high school diploma or g.e.d. is required
- must have 1 year of supervisory experience working in the restaurant industry
- servsafe food safety training is highly recommended
Job Qualifications
- must have a valid driver's license and proof of valid insurance
- must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
- must be available to work a flexible shift including weekends
- knowledge of all restaurant policies practices and operational and human resources procedures
- excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels both internally and externally
- knowledge of profit and loss statements
- ability to implement policies and procedures
- skilled in developing employees by coaching counseling and building strong work habits
- continuously working to improve customer satisfaction

Job Duties
- assist restaurant general manager in ensuring all employees are trained
- assist restaurant general manager in maintaining appropriate staffing and preparing weekly schedules
- help staff during high volume periods as needed
- assist in administering all paperwork in a timely manner
- assist in analyzing profit and loss statements and in meeting established sales plan for unit
- maintain and record accurate inventory
- understand enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- assist in maintaining all company operations standards and compliance
- ensure that federal state and local laws regulations and ordinances are practiced and enforced
- maintain a clean facility at all times
- deliver consistent high quality products daily every shift
- perform other duties as assigned
