The Assistant General Restaurant Manager (ARGM) role at Church's Chicken is integral to the successful daily operation of a restaurant. Reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager, the ARGM assists in managing staffing, training, financial responsibilities, and operational standards. This hands-on leadership position involves active participation in the day-to-day activities of the restaurant to ensure that all company initiatives and programs are successfully implemented. The ARGM plays a crucial role in helping to achieve or exceed all financial sales and profitability targets while maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations.

As an Assistant General Restaurant Manager, you will take on responsibilities that include assisting with employee training, scheduling, staff support during busy times, paperwork administration, and inventory management. Additionally, you will support the evaluation and analysis of profit and loss statements and assist in preserving the quality and cleanliness of the restaurant environment. You will be expected to enforce all company policies and procedures rigorously, including health and safety standards, to deliver consistent, high-quality products every shift. This role also requires the ability to resolve customer concerns promptly and maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members alike.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required
  • Must have 1 year of supervisory experience working in the restaurant industry
  • ServSafe food safety training is highly recommended

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of valid insurance
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be available to work a flexible shift including weekends
  • Knowledge of all restaurant policies, practices and operational and human resources procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of profit and loss statements
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures
  • Skilled in developing employees by coaching, counseling, and building strong work habits
  • Continuously working to improve customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of recruiting and interviewing potential team members

Job Duties

  • Assist restaurant general manager in ensuring all employees are trained
  • Assist restaurant general manager in maintaining appropriate staffing and prepare weekly schedules
  • Help staff during high volume periods as needed
  • Assist in administering all paperwork in a timely manner
  • Assist in analyzing profit and loss statements and meet established sales plan for unit
  • Maintain and record accurate inventory
  • Understand, enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining all company operations standards and compliance
  • Ensure that federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances are practiced and enforced
  • Maintain a clean facility at all times
  • Deliver consistent, high quality products daily, every shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned
