Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or education equivalent
- Attendance at United's flight attendant training if not currently flight qualified
- 2-3 years previous inflight supervisory experience or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years experience leading and influencing a team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful interview completion
- Ability to pass functional reach assessment
- Commitment to punctual and reliable attendance
- Adherence to appearance standards for flight attendants
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Attendance at United's flight attendant training to earn FAA certification if not flight qualified
- 2-3 years of inflight supervisory experience or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of experience leading and influencing a team
- Effective time management, presentation and organizational skills
- Experience in strategic planning, continuous improvement, analytical problem-solving, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Adherence to flight attendant appearance standards
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment
Job Duties
- Report to the Operations Manager and support the Base Leader for organizational goals within the Inflight division
- Coordinate implementation of safety policies and procedures
- Provide local management with information and practices to reduce operational disruptions and increase Net Promoter scores
- Ensure consistent implementation of standard safety and inflight objectives
- Work with stations to determine root causes of operational disruptions and share lessons learned
- Collaborate with inflight management to ensure adherence to regulatory practices
- Resolve cross-departmental issues with Flight Operations, Airport Operations, and Safety divisions
- Coordinate consistent inflight operation functions across all bases
- Support Operations Managers in supervising airport operations, communicating with internal stakeholders, and supporting United's core4 values
- Identify and address flight-level issues related to inflight services, boarding, baggage, and customer concerns
- Manage irregularities such as IFDM alerts, ATC/WX issues, medical emergencies, and staffing concerns
- Partner with team members via phone, radio, and messaging to resolve critical issues
- Document operational performance issues and identify changes for improvement
- Develop and support continuous improvement processes
- Mentor and promote colleagues to strengthen the inflight team
