Job Description
Jimmy Johns is a well-established and rapidly growing sandwich restaurant chain known for its fresh ingredients, speedy delivery, and excellent customer service. The company prides itself on sustaining high standards of quality and consistency across all its locations. Jimmy Johns operates as a fast-casual dining establishment focusing primarily on gourmet sandwiches made from fresh-baked bread and premium ingredients. With a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, the brand has become a popular choice for quick, delicious meals in the fast-food industry. As an enterprise within this renowned chain, the restaurant offers a vibrant workplace culture that values teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. Employees are provided with comprehensive benefits including ACA-compliant health insurance and lucrative paid time off, fostering a supportive and rewarding environment for career growth and personal development. This particular role is classified as a full-time position, offering a competitive salary aligned with industry standards for managerial roles in the fast-food sector.
The Restaurant Manager at this Jimmy Johns location plays a pivotal role in ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently while upholding the high standards synonymous with the brand. The manager oversees all aspects of the daily operations, ranging from staff management and customer service to inventory control and financial accountability. Acting as a key leader, the manager supervises a workforce ranging from approximately 3 to 50 employees, managing labor hours that exceed 80 per week. This involves assigning duties, monitoring performance, delivering on-the-job training, and making crucial decisions regarding promotions and terminations to maintain a productive and motivated team.
In addition to human resource responsibilities, the manager is entrusted with the handling of inventory including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing food and supplies. The goal is to minimize loss through waste or theft while ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand. Maintaining an environment that delivers world-class customer service is a central obligation, requiring the manager to oversee food preparation, sales, service quality, and delivery logistics. The manager also handles administrative duties such as completing paperwork, maintaining cash drawer integrity, and performing audits of previous shifts to ensure compliance with company systems and procedures. Preventive maintenance and upkeep of restaurant equipment are also within the scope of responsibilities. This comprehensive role demands a dynamic individual with excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills to drive the restaurant's success and customer satisfaction scores.
