Job Description
Auction.com is the nation’s leading online real estate marketplace, revolutionizing the way people buy and sell properties across the United States. Specializing in live property auctions traditionally held on courthouse steps, Auction.com connects buyers, sellers, and investors in a seamless digital and in-person experience. As a trusted leader in real estate auctions, the company empowers local communities by transforming houses into homes and making real estate transactions more accessible and transparent. With a commitment to innovation, customer service, and community engagement, Auction.com offers a unique and dynamic environment for professionals to thrive and grow.
The Associate Auction Coordinator role at Auction.com is a vital position where you become the face of the company during live auctions in the Texas area, primarily centered around Conroe, TX. This role demands a high level of professionalism as you conduct and co-host auctions, interacting directly with bidders and onsite personnel such as deputies, government employees, and attorneys. Your responsibilities will span from maintaining auction equipment and materials to handling customer information efficiently through proprietary software. This position offers hourly pay starting at $17.50 during training, with incremental raises based on skill development and performance, ranging typically between $20.00 and $30.00 per hour.
This role requires traveling to various auction locations within a two-hour driving radius, with mileage reimbursement for distances over 40 miles on any given day. Occasionally, travel beyond two hours may be required, supported by a rental car depending on mileage projections and scheduling. The schedule is flexible, with monthly auctions assigned by your Area or State Manager, and the average monthly commitment ranges from 6 to 12 hours, though this is subject to fluctuation based on business needs. The role also includes required training sessions, administrative duties, and opportunities for skill development and additional compensation through ongoing training and team participation.
As an Associate Auction Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth auction experience by managing multiple tasks with attention to detail and high-quality execution. Being tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, coupled with excellent communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills, will help you excel in supporting customers as they navigate the auction process. The ideal candidate enjoys customer interaction, thrives in dynamic environments, and embraces teamwork while also demonstrating the capability to lead and engage with crowds effectively.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions, and travel regularly to auction sites. Prior auction experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Auction.com provides a unique working environment where there is no traditional office setting, encouraging professionals who seek flexibility, continuous learning, and employee recognition.
Benefits of this role include competitive pay, professional experience building your resume, regular training for growth and development, employee recognition and referral programs, participation in the Auction.com 401k program, and a comprehensive travel pay policy to support vehicle usage reimbursement. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to join a leading company in the online real estate marketplace and make a tangible difference in their community through engaging auction events.
