As an Assistant Manager at KFC, you will play a pivotal role in driving the restaurant’s success by supporting the Restaurant General Manager and ensuring that brand standards are consistently met. This leadership position requires you to inspire and motivate your team, delivering unforgettable customer experiences through training, coaching, and recognizing individual and team efforts. You will be entrusted with overseeing daily operations in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager, making critical decisions that uphold quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role demands a balance of leadership and hands-on operational skills, requiring 50 hours of work per week with competitive pay – 40 hours at the regular rate and 10 hours at time and a half. Through this role, you will have the chance to grow professionally while working in an environment that values employee development and teamwork.

This dynamic role also encompasses responsibilities such as managing profit and loss by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, and handling labor management. You will collaborate closely with the Restaurant General Manager to evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and address any employee relations issues, fostering a positive workplace culture. Recruiting and hiring new team members will be part of your duties, promoting a recruitment process that champions diversity and inclusion. Additionally, you will oversee health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Food Safety regulations at all times. Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Assist with profit and loss management by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor and reviewing financial reports
  • Ensure all employees receive proper training and resources
  • Champion KFC’s culture and values, promoting equity inclusion and belonging in the restaurant
  • Lead efforts in individual and team recognition collaboration and motivation
  • Identify and recruit exceptional talent supporting the Restaurant General Manager in the hiring process
  • Possess strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals taking disciplinary action and motivating and training employees
  • Adhere to corporate policies procedures and Occupational Health and Food Safety standards

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • Oversee team members' adherence to shift responsibilities and maintain high food safety standards
  • Take charge of restaurant operations in the Restaurant General Manager's absence
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager in assessing team performance and provide ongoing constructive and positive feedback
  • Address employee relations issues as they arise, determine immediate resolutions, or escalate to the Restaurant General Manager when necessary
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and hiring team members while driving a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Assist with profit and loss management including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance and labor management
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • Support the Restaurant General Manager in facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed
