The role of Assistant Store Manager is a pivotal position within our store operations, reporting directly to the Store Manager. This is a full-time role focused on driving sales, managing daily store functions, and developing a dynamic team to enhance the customer experience and meet business objectives. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and advancing the company brand by implementing strategies that promote best-in-class service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include assisting in recruiting and training team members, managing inventory and merchandising, overseeing payroll, and ensuring compliance with laws related to alcohol sales. This position requires a flexible schedule including availability during evenings and weekends due to retail operational needs. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs overhead and repeatedly
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of work experience
- 2+ years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail setting
- Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics
- Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills
- Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink
- Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example, fostering a welcoming and knowledgeable store atmosphere, and resolving customer issues
- Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
