Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Hires and builds strong teams by partnering closely with executive leadership to create targeted hiring strategies to recruit within the community and ensure the team reflects the community
  • Follows standard operating procedures around performance management including discipline, appraisals, performance concerns, and making recommendations on termination and advancement
  • Directly manages teams in assigned departments such as Apparel, Footwear, and Hardlines and oversees other store areas when acting as Head Coach or MOD
  • Leads through coaching and development, providing in-the-moment feedback and creating space for leaders to identify actionable solutions
  • Acts as point of contact for training initiatives, facilitating workshops and role play exercises to meet athlete needs
  • Partners with peers to deliver exceptional athlete experiences in specialized areas like Rockwall, MultiSport Cage, Social Fitting Room, and Golf Services
  • Conducts financial and operational data analysis to uncover trends and build strategies to maximize sales and control expenses
  • Utilizes scheduling tools and budget guidelines to build effective schedules for best athlete service
  • Communicates company vision and aligns team responsibilities with overall organizational success
  • Empowers teammates to identify challenges through root cause analysis and understand the rationale behind business actions
  • Meets sales and profit budgets including all Profit & Loss categories
  • Creates and supports community engagement through events and volunteer opportunities
  • Actively recruits locally to ensure the team mirrors the community served
  • Stays informed on industry and competitor trends for better athlete service preparation
  • Supports in-store experience and community events
  • Ensures execution of product strategies and maintains standards through product life cycle
  • Oversees seasonal gameplan planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Maintains visual merchandising standards and works with teammates to react quickly to sales trends and new product receipts
  • Educates and empowers the team to be technical experts in product knowledge, operational excellence, and visual execution
  • Celebrates teammate achievements and contributions
  • Drives overall financial performance through sales and expense management
  • Prioritizes training, coaching, and development of self and others with a focus on accountability, motivation, and development plans
