With thousands of stores worldwide, Starbucks has built a reputation not only for premium-quality coffee but also for inspiring meaningful moments between people. This dedication is reflected in every cup served and every customer interaction, making Starbucks not just a destination for coffee lovers but a cherished community hub. The company’s culture emphasizes inclusiveness, connection, and responsible business practices, which have earned Starbucks numerous accolades as an employer. Starbucks values its partners (employees) and invests heavily in their professional and personal growth, offering opportunities for career development, education, and comprehensive benefits.
This role of Assistant Store Manager at Starbucks is a dynamic leadership opportunity designed for individuals passionate about both coffee and people. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be instrumental in leading a team dedicated to creating exceptional customer experiences by delivering great coffee with craft and heart. Your role will extend beyond operational excellence; it will involve fostering a community atmosphere in the store where customers feel truly welcomed and valued. You will have responsibilities that include managing daily store operations, coaching and developing your team, ensuring operational standards are met, and contributing to sales growth. This position demands a balance of strong organizational skills, leadership capability, and an entrepreneurial mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Starbucks provides an inclusive and supportive work environment where your growth journey is supported through developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits. The position is typically full-time and overtime eligible, with work hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starbucks offers a competitive compensation package based on job-related knowledge, experience, and the geographical location of the store. Beyond the salary, Starbucks invests in the wellbeing of its partners and their families through extensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, and paid time off from the date of hire. Through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, partners have access to 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree via Arizona State University’s online program, along with student loan management resources and additional educational opportunities.
By joining Starbucks as an Assistant Store Manager, you are stepping into a role that combines operational leadership with the mission to connect with something bigger. You will be part of a company that values diversity and equal opportunity, and that actively supports reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. If you are motivated by meaningful work, leadership development, and making a genuine impact in your community through coffee, this role offers a fulfilling career path with room to grow and succeed at a company known for its heart, craft, and commitment.
