The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) role at TitleMax is a dynamic full-time position designed for individuals with strong customer service and leadership skills who are ready to take the next step in their retail management career. The ASM acts as a crucial support to store leaders, assisting with key operational duties such as recovery processes, customer outreach, and risk mitigation. Working as an ASM at TitleMax means playing a vital role in delivering a white-glove customer experience that covers the entire cycle of pawn and loan services. You will educate consumers on their financial options, make sensible recommendations, and help maintain strong customer relationships that build business loyalty and profitability. You will also have responsibilities for account management activities including collection calls and recovery efforts to prevent losses, all while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
The position requires a high degree of operational vigilance, from managing cash drawers and vault security during opening and closing, to ensuring the store’s physical environment is clean, safe, and compliant with internal and external standards. Fast-paced and ever-changing, the ASM must be able to juggle multiple tasks with ease and maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.

This role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with three months minimum supervisory or leadership experience, one year in customer service, sales, or retail, and the ability to legally work in the U.S. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle during work hours is essential, along with the ability to perform physical tasks like handling up to 25 pounds. Bilingual English-Spanish skills and higher education credentials are preferred but not mandatory.

- ability to meet the physical demands of this position including remaining stationary, transporting up to 25 pounds, moving about inside and outside the store, and operation of mechanical controls such as a keyboard
- associate degree or higher preferred
- bilingual English/Spanish a plus and may be required for certain locations
Job Duties
- provide an exceptional customer experience throughout the full cycle of the loan or pawn process by educating consumers and making recommendations based on their financial needs
- assist account management and recovery processes, including collection calls, while maintaining a focus on customer service to prevent account charge offs and loss
- work to meet company-set performance standards by leveraging business-to-business partnership opportunities, obtaining referrals, and participating in and hosting in-store and community events
- develop customer relationships to build new business, maintain store profitability, and further brand loyalty and recognition
- provide support, coaching, and development to customer service representatives, when applicable, to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety procedures
- maintain customer information in the point of sale (POS) system with accuracy and integrity
- help ensure a work environment that upholds compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- maintain office security protocols and conduct proper opening and closing procedures, including management of vault, cash drawer, and bank deposits
- monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and cleanliness, addressing basic facility needs and scheduling maintenance services
- work efficiently in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenging tasks with ease to meet individual and team performance standards
- utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with customers and team members at all levels
- ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance, including limited Saturday hours
