Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center is a renowned community-centered facility located in Seattle, Washington. Job Requirements

At least one year of experience teaching dinghy racing sailing
CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within one month
must pass a 10-minute float test
Washington Boaters Education certification prior to employment
ability to work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM
part-time availability through end of October
passion for youth coaching and sailing

Job Qualifications

Passion for sailing and teaching
excellent communication and organizational skills
at least one year of experience teaching dinghy racing sailing
youth coaching experience preferred
US Sailing Level 1 certification preferred
skills in maintenance and repair of sailing equipment a plus
CPR and First Aid training required within one month of hire
Washington Boaters Education certification required
ability to pass a 10-minute float test

Job Duties

Assist head instructor with Learn to Race Sailing Team sessions
conduct sailing training in Optis, Lasers, and FJs
support youth sailors aged 8 to high school seniors
ensure safety protocols are followed during practices
assist with boat and facility maintenance as needed
communicate effectively with students and parents
organize training schedules and materials
