Job Requirements

at least 1 year of experience teaching dinghy racing sailing
cpr and first aid training within one month of hire
washington boaters education certification before beginning employment
ability to pass a 10 minute float test
passion for sailing and teaching
excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

passion for sailing and teaching

at least 1 year of experience teaching dinghy racing sailing
youth coaching experience highly preferred
US Sailing Level 1 preferred
CPR and First Aid training required within one month of hire
Washington Boaters Education certification prior to employment
ability to pass a 10 minute float test

Job Duties

support the head instructor with learn to race sailing team training
coach youth sailors ages 8 through high school seniors in dinghy racing
conduct training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM
instruct in sailing skills using Optis, Lasers, and FJs
ensure safety and adherence to protocols during all sailing sessions
assist with boat and facility maintenance as needed
foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
