This front office management position is an entry-level management role centered on supporting the day-to-day operations of the Rooms department. Key areas of responsibility include Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Bell Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services. The role demands a hands-on approach to ensure that guest arrival and departure procedures are executed flawlessly while maintaining the highest cleanliness standards throughout the property. The position is essential in achieving operational budgets, managing staffing and scheduling in alignment with business demands, and reinforcing loss prevention policies. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader capable of opening and closing shifts, running critical reports, overseeing department equipment, and actively contributing to maximizing room revenue through effective management of same-day selling procedures and room rate accuracy.

The manager will assist in investigating guest and employee accidents, utilize guest information tracking to foster repeat visits, and take part in guest feedback processes through comment cards and satisfaction surveys. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in related field with 1 year experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage and schedule staff
  • Proficiency in guest services and room operations
  • Understanding of financial management in hospitality
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • Commitment to upholding company policies
  • Willingness to work full time with flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year related experience

Job Duties

  • Open and close Front Desk and Housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of shift checklists
  • Run and review critical information in room operations reports
  • Understand functions of Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk, and Concierge/Guest Services
  • Operate all department equipment and report malfunctions
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
  • Understand night audit procedures and utilize reports
  • Comply with loss prevention policies
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees
  • Handle employee questions and concerns
  • Schedule employees based on business demands and track time and attendance
  • Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize revenue
  • Verify accuracy of room rates
  • Use budgets and operating statements to assist in managing Room Operations
  • Manage departmental controllable expenses
  • Assist in investigation of employee and guest accidents
  • Use guest information tracking system for repeat guest recognition
  • Set positive example for guest relations
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
