Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Available to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Willingness to participate in IHOP training courses

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two to four years of related experience or training in restaurant management
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Certification through IHOP training courses as assigned
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to compute rate, ratio and percent

Job Duties

  • Assist in the achievement of budgeted sales and profits
  • Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with restaurant hourly team members, corporate and regional team members, and guests
  • Implement IHOP training program for all restaurant hourly team members to improve unit operations and guest experience
  • Assist in the execution of financial, marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives in accordance with IHOP SOP and operations plan
  • Comply with federal, state and local regulations applicable to the assigned unit
  • Assist in recruitment, training and retention of team members
  • Ensure adequate levels of supplies including food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, linen and miscellaneous items
  • Ensure proper operational condition of equipment, building structure and premises
  • Ensure safety and sanitation practices
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure restaurant
  • Complete required reports and paperwork
  • Perform other assigned duties
