The Assistant Restaurant Manager role at Bonita National Golf & Country Club presents an exceptional career opportunity for hospitality professionals passionate about delivering outstanding service. Candidates will be responsible for organizing and conducting pre-shift meetings, overseeing cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and ensuring food quality and service meet club standards. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will also play a crucial role in guest relations by greeting guests and ensuring their satisfaction.

Financial responsibilities include monitoring restaurant budgets, creating revenue forecasts, and reporting. Leadership duties involve hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff members, including food and beverage supervisors, hosts, servers, and cashiers. The position demands a proactive approach to staff development, implementing effective orientation and ongoing training programs, as well as ensuring compliance with safety practices and regulations. Bonita National Golf & Country Club offers a full-time position with an attractive $250 signing bonus and a $250 retention bonus following 90 days of employment, emphasizing its commitment to attracting and retaining experienced hospitality professionals. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree (AA)
  • or six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Job Qualifications

  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Alcohol awareness training
  • Food safety and appropriate sanitation training

Job Duties

  • Organize and conduct pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, house counts
  • Ensure that the restaurant and restaurant facilities are kept clean, well-stocked and organized
  • Check the maintenance of all equipment in the restaurant and schedule needed maintenance and repair
  • Circulate throughout the restaurant facilities and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met
  • Greet guests at tables to ensure complete satisfaction and attend to guest needs
  • Ensure established cash handling procedures are utilized to accurately charge customers
  • Create revenue forecasts and reports
  • monitor restaurant budget
  • Oversee daily restaurant activities to include serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, room service and general clerical/cashier duties
  • Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, and direct work
  • evaluate performance
  • reward and discipline associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • Manage department members that may include, but are not limited to: Food and Beverage Supervisor, Host, Server, Cashier
  • Assure that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate
