Job Requirements
- Associate's degree (AA)
- or six months to one year of related experience and/or training
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Job Qualifications
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Alcohol awareness training
- Food safety and appropriate sanitation training
Job Duties
- Organize and conduct pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, house counts
- Ensure that the restaurant and restaurant facilities are kept clean, well-stocked and organized
- Check the maintenance of all equipment in the restaurant and schedule needed maintenance and repair
- Circulate throughout the restaurant facilities and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met
- Greet guests at tables to ensure complete satisfaction and attend to guest needs
- Ensure established cash handling procedures are utilized to accurately charge customers
- Create revenue forecasts and reports
- monitor restaurant budget
- Oversee daily restaurant activities to include serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, room service and general clerical/cashier duties
- Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, and direct work
- evaluate performance
- reward and discipline associates
- address complaints and resolve problems
- Manage department members that may include, but are not limited to: Food and Beverage Supervisor, Host, Server, Cashier
- Assure that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate
- develop ongoing training programs and test for comprehension
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
