With a strong commitment to excellence and customer service, SSP America partners with innovative and popular brands, including Smashburger, to bring a diverse range of food offerings to travelers. The company prides itself on fostering a vibrant and dynamic work environment that supports career growth and promotes team collaboration. Operating in some of the most high-volume and fast-paced settings, SSP America ensures its employees are equipped with the skills and support needed to succeed in the hospitality industry.

The Smashburger & Bar Assistant Restaurant Manager role at Denver International Airport (DEN) offers a unique opportunity to join one of the busiest airports in the United States. This position is ideal for an experienced food service professional who thrives under pressure and values food safety and quality. The role combines both front-of-house and kitchen management responsibilities, demanding strong leadership and operational expertise. With a competitive salary starting at $65,000 per year plus opportunities for quarterly and year-end bonuses based on both company and restaurant performance, this position offers a rewarding career path.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supervising the team, ensuring adherence to Smashburger’s brand standards and food safety protocols, and optimizing costs for maximum profitability. This includes hands-on management of food quality, labor, merchandising, and inventory, as well as office-related tasks such as scheduling and payroll. The role also involves recruiting and training team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment, and maintaining compliance with health and sanitation standards. The chance to work in a dynamic airport setting adds excitement and unique challenges to daily operations, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking to advance their careers in the foodservice industry.

SSP America offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans, paid time off, a 401K plan with company match, and an Employee Assistance Program. Beyond financial compensation, the company emphasizes career progression and personal development, supporting ambitious professionals who are looking to grow within the organization. Those passionate about delivering exceptional service and quality food in a fast-moving, high-volume environment will find this role rewarding and fulfilling. Applicants should be prepared to handle the responsibilities associated with managing a busy restaurant and handling alcohol as part of the service.

Joining SSP America means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive team dedicated to upholding high standards of hospitality and operational excellence. The company is committed to equal employment opportunity and provides reasonable accommodations throughout the application process. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly as applications are accepted until April 12, 2026.
