About the Role: The Assistant Restaurant Manager position at Dunkin' plays a critical role in supporting the overall management and daily operations of a single restaurant. This is a full-time role responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in driving both operational efficiency and guest satisfaction, ensuring adherence to Dunkin's brand standards, franchisee policies, and legal requirements. The Assistant Restaurant Manager not only leads shift leaders and team members but also steps into the lead management role in the Restaurant Manager's absence.

Key responsibilities include overseeing floor operations, managing brand training programs, and serving as a catalyst for a positive, guest-centric culture within the restaurant. This role requires the individual to address guest feedback constructively and implement action plans that drive continuous improvement. Maintaining compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations is a cornerstone of this position, alongside diligent cost control and inventory management efforts to maximize restaurant profitability.

Additionally, the Assistant Restaurant Manager contributes to labor scheduling, staff deployment, and vendor order processes to ensure restaurant operations run smoothly. Management duties further encompass recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and developing restaurant personnel, helping to reinforce a motivated and efficient workforce capable of meeting demanding fast-paced service environments. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous leadership experience in restaurant, retail or hospitality
Basic computer literacy
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Basic math and financial skills
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
Capability to work in a fast paced environment
Willingness to comply with safety and sanitation standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

Perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members
Lead team meetings along with Restaurant Manager
Oversee brand training programs, schedule, train, validate, certify team and shift lead staff
Ensure brand standards, recipes and systems are executed
Create and maintain a guest focused culture in the restaurant
Review guest feedback results and implement action plans to drive improvement
Communicate restaurant priorities, goals and results to restaurant team members
Execute new product rollouts including training, marketing and sampling
Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by enforcing safety, food safety and sanitation requirements
Control costs to help maximize profitability
Complete inventory on a periodic basis as determined by Franchisee
Support Restaurant Manager in completion of weekly labor schedule ensuring all shifts are staffed
Support Restaurant Manager in assigning staff and deployment
Support Restaurant Manager in completion of supplier and other vendor orders
Conduct self-assessments and corresponding action plans
Ensure restaurant budget is met as determined by Franchisee
Manage cash over/short in restaurant and ensure team members are following cash management policies
Engage with Dunkin' Brands Field Operations team as appropriate
Recruit, hire, onboard and develop restaurant team members
Assist team and shift lead performance appraisal process
Coach restaurant team members to drive sales, improve profitability and guest satisfaction
