Job Description

Puerto Tortas Tacos Cantina is an exciting new restaurant concept located within Concourse C of Spokane International Airport (GEG). This bold, chef-led establishment was developed through a partnership between the acclaimed Spokane chef Chad White and SSP America, a global leader in airport food and beverage services. Puerto Tortas Tacos Cantina stands out by delivering vibrant coastal Mexican flavors to travelers, offering handcrafted tacos, hearty tortas, breakfast favorites, and innovative street-inspired specialties. The restaurant operates in a high-energy airport setting, providing a unique dining experience to a wide range of customers including travelers, airport staff, and locals alike.

This opportunity is for a full-time Assistant Restaurant Manager position with an hourly wage and bonus eligibility, offering a salary of $65,000 per year. This role is pivotal in ensuring the restaurant's daily operations run seamlessly while maintaining high food quality and customer service standards. The Assistant Manager will work closely alongside the management team to lead both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams, ensuring smooth operational flow in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and lead from the floor, fostering a positive atmosphere and building a skilled team capable of delivering excellent dining experiences consistently.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for managing daily restaurant operations, monitoring and maintaining exceptional food standards and sanitation compliance, controlling labor costs, inventory, and other critical financial metrics. You will be tasked with training, coaching, motivating, and elevating the performance of your team to meet and exceed set goals. Additionally, you will support forecasting, scheduling, and other administrative functions necessary to keep the restaurant operating efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant leadership experience
  • Minimum 1 year in full-service restaurant management
  • Experience leading front of house and back of house teams in full-service environment
  • Strong focus on food quality and safety
  • Proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple operational demands
  • High school diploma

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant leadership experience
  • Minimum 1 year in full-service restaurant management required

  • Strong operational acumen with a sharp focus on food quality and safety
