Job Description

Dunkin' is a renowned leader in the coffee and baked goods industry, recognized as America's favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and delicious treats. Founded in 1950, Dunkin' has evolved to become a market leader in multiple categories including hot regular, decaf and flavored coffee, iced versions of the same, as well as donuts, bagels, and muffins. The brand has earned an impressive reputation for customer loyalty, securing the No. 1 ranking in the coffee category by Brand Keys for 14 consecutive years. With a global presence spanning over 13,100 restaurants in 41 countries, Dunkin' continues to delight millions of customers every day with quality products and exceptional service. Headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts, Dunkin' operates under the Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc., a family of companies dedicated to delivering a satisfying experience to guests worldwide.

The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager at Dunkin' is critical in supporting the overall restaurant management team and driving business success. This position involves helping lead and develop a team committed to providing outstanding, friendly service while maintaining profitable top-line sales. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Restaurant Manager to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop employees, ensuring clear communication of job expectations and accountability for performance and behavior. Creating a culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and team development is a fundamental aspect of this role.

Operational responsibilities include guaranteeing that shifts are adequately staffed to meet guest service goals, enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation standards to maintain a secure and healthy environment, and adhering strictly to brand standards, recipes, and operational systems. The Assistant Restaurant Manager also contributes to preparing and implementing action plans aimed at achieving production, productivity, quality, and guest service benchmarks. Continuous improvement based on guest feedback and restaurant assessment results is highly valued, driving targeted system enhancements.

Profitability management is another vital component of this position. The Assistant Manager helps control costs to maximize profitability, executes in-restaurant marketing promotions, and manages new product roll-outs including team training, marketing efforts, and sampling initiatives. This role requires a focus on driving sales goals and carefully tracking results to ensure business objectives are met. Strong leadership competencies such as effective communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict management, and team building are essential to foster a motivated, engaged, and high-performing workforce.

With a starting pay rate of $22 per hour, this full-time or part-time role offers an attractive opportunity to grow within a dynamic, market-leading company supported by a flexible schedule, paid time off, health insurance, employee discounts, and mileage reimbursement. No formal education is required, making this a great opportunity for individuals passionate about the foodservice industry who have foundational supervisory experience and a desire to develop their leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. The position is on-site, placing the Assistant Restaurant Manager at the heart of daily operations and customer interactions, where every effort contributes directly to Dunkin's continued success and reputation for excellence.
