Founded with a focus on chicken finger meals, Raising Cane's has expanded to numerous locations nationwide, earning a reputation for a welcoming atmosphere and a commitment to excellence. The company places a strong emphasis on team development and operational efficiency while fostering a positive environment where employees can thrive.
The role of Assistant Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's involves supporting the Restaurant Leader in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant while upholding the company's standards and culture in every facet of the business. This position is pivotal in ensuring that the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently from opening to closing. The Assistant Restaurant Leader is deeply involved in managing staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance coaching, and payroll processing for all hourly crewmembers. Serving as a key leader on the floor, this individual acts as manager on duty during shifts and plays an essential role in cash handling accountability and policy enforcement.
Beyond the management of people, the Assistant Restaurant Leader is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning restaurant environment. The job requires working within a fast-paced kitchen setting that demands extended periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. The role also includes interactions with customers and working in varied temperature conditions, often handling food products, allergens, commercial cleaning supplies, and industrial equipment.
The position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can efficiently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting. An ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial, as is the capacity to recognize and solve problems by setting goals, creating plans, and taking corrective actions when necessary. Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office applications, is also a key requirement.
Compensation for this role ranges from $24 to $27 per hour, reflecting the importance of the duties and responsibilities entrusted to the Assistant Restaurant Leader. The company also supports the well-being of its employees by offering paid time off and closing on major holidays, which underscores its commitment to work-life balance and employee satisfaction.
Overall, this leadership position offers a unique opportunity for individuals with restaurant or retail management experience to grow within a respected and robust restaurant brand. The Assistant Restaurant Leader is central to executing Raising Cane's operational standards and delivering exemplary customer service, all while fostering a positive and productive working environment for crewmembers.
