The role of Assistant Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's is an essential leadership position responsible for supporting the day-to-day restaurant operations and ensuring that the brand’s high standards and culture are maintained across all areas. This position requires a dedicated individual who embodies Raising Cane's values and has the capability to manage and mentor the team effectively. The Assistant Restaurant Leader plays a pivotal role in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, managing performance, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment. They are tasked with the challenge of acting as a manager on duty, overseeing cash handling, and ensuring accountability while delivering exemplary customer service.

Working in a fast-paced kitchen and restaurant setting, the Assistant Restaurant Leader must be comfortable with the physical demands of the job, which include extended periods of walking, standing, lifting, and bending, as well as working indoors and outdoors in varied temperatures. Safety is a priority, and the individual must be prepared to handle food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning products safely using appropriate personal protective equipment.

This position offers a competitive salary starting from $60,000 to $68,000 annually, complemented by a monthly training incentive of $750. Pay is based on location, experience, and qualifications, with additional monthly incentives tied to restaurant profitability. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Hire and terminate all hourly non-management crewmembers
  • Own the onboarding status change and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers
  • Create crewmember work and training schedules
  • Manage the performance of all hourly crewmembers including development coaching redirective communication and documentation
  • Act as manager on duty and open and close the restaurant
  • Manage cash handling and ensure accountability
  • Enforce Raising Cane's policies and standards
  • Execute shift management meeting Raising Cane's operations and safety standards
  • Use required tools forms and logs to support shift execution document results and take corrective action
  • Deploy crewmembers during a shift
  • Provide exemplary customer service
  • Utilize reward and recognition program for crewmembers
  • Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval
  • Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and facility maintenance
  • Complete other duties as assigned
