As a rapidly expanding establishment with multiple locations, Raising Cane's emphasizes a team-oriented atmosphere where employees are empowered to grow professionally while serving great food to customers.
The Assistant Restaurant Leader position plays a critical role in supporting the Restaurant Leader with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. The role involves upholding Raising Cane's standards and culture in all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring a consistently high-quality customer experience. The Assistant Restaurant Leader is responsible for supervising hourly crewmembers, managing performance, and overseeing key operational tasks such as cash handling, scheduling, onboarding, and compliance with policies. This position requires working in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen and dining environment that demands physical exertion and customer interaction.
As an Assistant Restaurant Leader, the individual must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities. The role encompasses hiring, training, and terminating hourly crewmembers, as well as maintaining schedules and managing payroll processes. Acting as the manager on duty, the Assistant Restaurant Leader will open and close the restaurant, enforce operational and safety standards, and use company-specific tools and logs to ensure shift execution runs smoothly. The role also involves motivating the team through recognition programs, providing exemplary customer service, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24 to $27 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The Assistant Restaurant Leader is expected to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, and may be required to travel for training and work-related functions. The position is ideal for candidates with a minimum of three years’ experience in restaurant or retail management, with new restaurant opening experience considered a plus. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and hold a valid driver’s license.
Beyond the operational responsibilities, the role offers a vibrant work environment where leadership skills can flourish, and team members are encouraged to grow and succeed. Raising Cane's also provides paid time off to eligible employees and observes major holidays to ensure work-life balance. The Assistant Restaurant Leader position is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about restaurant management who want to contribute to a thriving brand focused on quality and customer satisfaction.
