Job Requirements

  • Must have a Food Handlers Card
  • must have a valid California Drivers License

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • two to three years related experience and/or training
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and professional journals
  • ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • ability to present information effectively and respond to questions in English
  • ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry
  • problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret instructions
  • ability to use word-processing and spreadsheet software effectively

Job Duties

  • Assure that floor is properly staffed and maintained throughout shift
  • assign work to employees and monitor performance to ensure quality service standards
  • fill in as needed by business demand on the dining floor and in the bar
  • inspect food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
  • investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
  • review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation
  • evaluate and appraise performance of subordinate employees
