The property features striking contemporary architecture, a world-class spa, and an 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed golf course, creating an idyllic environment for recreation and relaxation. As a part of the Hyatt portfolio, Park Hyatt Aviara emphasizes exceptional service and an outstanding guest experience, attracting visitors both locally and internationally who seek upscale amenities and personalized attention. The resort also serves as a significant venue for weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations, providing elegant spaces coupled with attentive hospitality.
The Assistant Pastry Chef role at Park Hyatt Aviara is an integral position within the Food and Beverage team, responsible for supporting the Pastry Chef in all aspects of pastry and baking operations. This role requires in-depth culinary knowledge and skills in all areas of pastry production to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality desserts and baked goods that meet or exceed guest expectations. The Assistant Pastry Chef must be adept at overseeing food production processes, monitoring product quality and consistency, managing department staffing levels, and facilitating staff training. Exceptional organizational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interact professionally with guests.
Additionally, this role demands a comprehensive understanding of cost control measures, culinary education, and computer literacy, all of which contribute to efficient kitchen operations and effective management. The Assistant Pastry Chef will also step in to lead the pastry department in the absence of the Pastry Chef, ensuring the seamless continuation of all baking and dessert services. This is a salaried position with a competitive wage range of $56,800 to $75,000, dependent on experience and education. Park Hyatt Aviara offers a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, employee discounts, educational reimbursement, and more, making it a desirable workplace for those passionate about culinary excellence and luxury hospitality.
