Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary education is a plus
- Prior experience in a pastry kitchen preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull moderate weight
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and computer skills
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
- Experience in pastry and baking operations
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform all basic cooking skills
- Capability to work independently at a single station
- Demonstrated desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Monitor food production to ensure consistency
- Maintain food quality and presentation
- Manage staffing levels within the pastry department
- Conduct training and development for pastry staff
- Assist in cost control and inventory management
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Lead the pastry department in the absence of the Pastry Chef
