Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or 2-year degree with 1 year experience
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage pastry operations
  • Knowledge of food handling, storage, and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • 1 year experience in culinary or food and beverage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership experience and ability to manage team operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to develop innovative pastry creations

Job Duties

  • Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry team
  • Coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
  • Develops and creates new ideas and items for the pastry kitchen
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
  • Prepares and cooks foods according to required specifications
  • Provides exceptional customer service and handles guest complaints
  • Supports culinary goals including budget and performance objectives
