Job Requirements
- two to five years experience preferred
- graduate of culinary school or apprenticeship program
- able to certify as pastry culinarian and working pastry chef within two years
- basic skills in cake decorating and chocolate
- prior restaurant experience preferred
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
- motivated to exceed member expectations
- ability to work with a sense of urgency and anticipate needs
- great attention to detail
- creative and resourceful
- consistent and confident in delivering superior experiences
Job Qualifications
- graduate of culinary school or apprenticeship program
- two to five years of pastry experience preferred
- skilled in classic and modern cake decoration and chocolate work
- ability to maintain detailed recipe documentation
- proficiency in coordinating kitchen operations with banquet staff
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- motivated to deliver superior guest experiences
- creative and resourceful with great attention to detail
- consistent and confident in pastry production and presentation
Job Duties
- supporting production across all pastry stations including breads, banquet desserts, pastry carts, and more
- ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and taste
- contributing to the development and execution of daily pastry specials and seasonal menu offerings
- assisting with training new pastry team members and stewards in recipes and kitchen procedures
- coordinating with banquet operations to fulfill daily dessert and bread requirements including setup according to banquet event orders
- maintaining a detailed recipe file for all items produced in the pastry shop along with decorating templates or stencils
- performing additional duties as assigned by the Executive Pastry Chef or Executive Chef
