Job Requirements

  • two to five years experience preferred
  • graduate of culinary school or apprenticeship program
  • able to certify as pastry culinarian and working pastry chef within two years
  • basic skills in cake decorating and chocolate
  • prior restaurant experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • motivated to exceed member expectations
  • ability to work with a sense of urgency and anticipate needs
  • great attention to detail
  • creative and resourceful
  • consistent and confident in delivering superior experiences

Job Qualifications

  • graduate of culinary school or apprenticeship program
  • two to five years of pastry experience preferred
  • skilled in classic and modern cake decoration and chocolate work
  • ability to maintain detailed recipe documentation
  • proficiency in coordinating kitchen operations with banquet staff
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • motivated to deliver superior guest experiences
  • creative and resourceful with great attention to detail
  • consistent and confident in pastry production and presentation

Job Duties

  • supporting production across all pastry stations including breads, banquet desserts, pastry carts, and more
  • ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and taste
  • contributing to the development and execution of daily pastry specials and seasonal menu offerings
  • assisting with training new pastry team members and stewards in recipes and kitchen procedures
  • coordinating with banquet operations to fulfill daily dessert and bread requirements including setup according to banquet event orders
  • maintaining a detailed recipe file for all items produced in the pastry shop along with decorating templates or stencils
  • performing additional duties as assigned by the Executive Pastry Chef or Executive Chef
