The role of Assistant Operations Leader at Wonder offers a dynamic opportunity for an individual passionate about leading teams and enhancing restaurant operations. This role functions directly under the General Manager and plays a crucial part in overseeing the daily running of a Wonder restaurant, particularly in the Bronx, New York. With a salary range of $66,500 to $76,500 annually, this position blends leadership with hands-on operational management. The Assistant Operations Leader is entrusted with recruiting, training, and motivating staff, ensuring food safety and team member safety are always prioritized, and driving outstanding customer service to uphold Wonder’s reputation. Responsibilities include managing operations to achieve sales targets and operational efficiencies, supervising inventory processes, maintaining compliance with food safety protocols including product dating and shelf life standards, and fostering an environment where the team can thrive and innovate. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced setting. Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • must be able to stand for a full shift while working
  • must have open availability, including night and weekend availability
  • must have a current food handlers certification

Job Qualifications

  • at least two years of restaurant supervisor or management experience in a high-volume quick service restaurant or full-service restaurant
  • demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop teams of 15 or more members
  • ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail and a strong drive for efficiency and accuracy
  • demonstrates professionalism and adheres to policies and procedures
  • exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills
  • strong team player

Job Duties

  • commit to ongoing training and development in both kitchen and dining room operations to uphold standards and guidelines
  • maintain consistent adherence to food safety and security standards
