The Parkwest Bicycle Casino is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Director. This leadership role involves supporting the planning, direction, and coordination of all food and beverage operations throughout the casino. The Assistant Director will work closely with multiple departments to ensure that the highest standards of service, quality, and cleanliness are consistently upheld. Furthermore, this role demands a proactive individual who can take ownership of the customer experience by leading through example and initiative.
The Assistant Food & Beverage Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations across all food and beverage outlets. This includes monitoring staffing levels, managing work schedules, and ensuring workflow efficiency to meet business needs. The role requires a strong floor presence to support team members, resolve operational issues, and maintain exceptional service standards. In addition to operational oversight, the Assistant Director will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by analyzing labor, food, and beverage costs. Identifying opportunities for improving profitability is a key component of this position.
Compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations is essential in this role. The Assistant Director will enforce these standards rigorously and prepare the team for audits and inspections. Partnering with Human Resources on workplace safety and injury prevention initiatives is also a critical aspect of the position.
Another important responsibility involves assisting with the execution of food and beverage initiatives, promotions, and special events while supporting ongoing menu development and concept enhancements. Leadership and team management duties include supervising managers, supervisors, and frontline staff, conducting coaching and training sessions, providing performance feedback, and supporting hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
Candidates for this role must have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the capability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computer applications, including email systems and MS Office, is preferred. The position requires flexibility to work varied shifts and the ability to maintain composure while managing multiple priorities.

Job Requirements
- must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background and credit check, and drug test
- must be able to obtain and maintain a current california gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license
- skilled problem solver
- able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules
- able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day
- able to perform repetitive hand actions for entire shift

Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in hospitality, business or related field or equivalent experience
- five plus years of food and beverage experience
- three plus years in supervisory or management role
- food manager certification
- completion of rbs exam
- strong organizational and verbal communication skills
- proficiency in computer skills including ms office
