Job Requirements
- Science related Associates degree with 1 year of college lab studies and 1 year of college mathematics, plus 2 years of laboratory experience or 4 years of experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards for infant formula and nutritionals
- Experience in food, pharmaceutical, medical device plant or hospital/medical lab setting
- Ability to work 3rd shift, 10:00 pm to 8:30 am, Wednesday through Saturday
- U.S. work authorization and verification upon hire
Job Qualifications
- Science related Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of college lab studies and 1 year of college mathematics
- Proficient in LIMS
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and gram staining
- Experience working in food, pharmaceutical, medical device plants or hospital/medical labs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Apply high quality scientific techniques in microbiological analysis of raw ingredients, in-process production samples, finished product testing and environmental monitoring
- Work collaboratively with fellow microbiologists, demonstrating motivation, attention to detail and clear communication
- Prioritize tasks to ensure efficiency and accuracy of results
- Conduct product testing, environmental testing and raw ingredient testing
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project work and troubleshooting
- Prepare media and general lab work including housekeeping duties
- Communicate effectively and collaborate within the team environment
