We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join the Tampa EDITION team as an Overnight Rooms Operations Manager. This is a part-time, overnight, entry-level management position offering an hourly pay range of $25.77 to $29.33, with bonus eligibility. The role centers on supporting the day-to-day management of Rooms Operations, covering key areas such as Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services.
The Overnight Rooms Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout the overnight shift by assisting with guest arrival and departure procedures, maintaining cleanliness standards, and fostering employee engagement to uphold service excellence. This management role requires overseeing various operational facets including shift openings and closings, employee scheduling, monitoring important operational reports, and ensuring staff have the necessary supplies and uniforms.
Additionally, the role involves understanding and supporting departmental budget goals through careful management of room revenue, operating expenses, and payroll. The manager will be expected to implement and monitor loss prevention policies, handle employee performance expectations, and contribute to maximizing property occupancy and revenue by verifying room rates and participating in daily sales procedures.
Guest experience is paramount in this role. The manager will assist in managing guest relations by investigating incidents, responding effectively to guest feedback and complaints, and ensuring that guest preferences are noted and used to enhance repeat visitation. Setting a positive example for guest relations and closely collaborating with staff to maintain high satisfaction scores are essential aspects of the job.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- or 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related field
- 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- part-time availability for overnight shifts
- ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- strong organizational and leadership skills

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate department equipment

Job Duties
- Open and close front desk and housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of assigned shift checklists and duties
- run and review critical room operations reports
- understand functions of recreation, laundry, housekeeping, bell staff, AYS, front desk, and concierge/guest services operations
- operate department equipment and report malfunctions
- ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
- comprehend and utilize night audit procedures and reports
- comply with loss prevention policies
- communicate performance expectations to employees according to job descriptions
- handle employee questions and concerns
- effectively schedule employees according to business demands and track time and attendance
- supervise same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
- verify accuracy of room rates
- use budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to assist room operations management
- participate in managing departmental controllable expenses to meet budget goals
- understand impact of room operations on overall property financial objectives
- assist in investigation of employee and guest accidents
- assist in use of guest information tracking systems for repeat guest recognition
