Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience
  • Ability to work full time on-site
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple operational areas
  • Proficiency in scheduling and time tracking
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and financial management
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction and safety
  • Ability to handle employee concerns and lead teams effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related field
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of hotel room operations
  • Ability to operate department equipment
  • Knowledge of night audit and loss prevention procedures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively schedule and manage staff
  • Experience with budget and expense management
  • Skilled in guest relations and complaint resolution
  • Proficient in using guest information tracking systems

Job Duties

  • Open and close Front Desk/Housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of assigned checklist and duties
  • Run and review critical room operations reports
  • Understand operations of Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk, and Concierge/Guest Services
  • Operate department equipment and report malfunctions
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
  • Understand night audit procedures and utilize reports
  • Comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees
  • Handle employee questions and concerns
  • Schedule employees effectively and track time and attendance
  • Supervise same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
  • Verify accuracy of room rates
  • Use budgets and reports to assist management of Room Operations
  • Participate in managing controllable expenses to meet budget goals
  • Understand Room Operations' financial impact
  • Assist in investigation of employee and guest accidents
  • Use guest information tracking system to support repeat guest recognition
  • Set positive example for guest relations
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
