Founded in Glendale, California in 1983, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to its customers while fostering a strong sense of family values within its organization. Panda Express is not only committed to superior guest experiences but also to the professional and personal development of its associates. This commitment is demonstrated through extensive training programs, supportive mentorship, and a collaborative community environment that encourages growth and success.
The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express is designed for experienced leaders who are passionate about managing and inspiring a team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of a single Panda Express location. Your duties will include hiring, managing, and directing store associates to meet financial goals and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. The position demands a hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining the high standards that Panda Express upholds. To prepare you for this leadership role, Panda Express provides a comprehensive store management leadership training program lasting three or more weeks. This program equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed and advance within the company.
This full-time position offers competitive compensation along with a generous benefits package. Panda Express values its team members by providing free meals during shifts, bonus opportunities, and comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance options for full-time employees. Additional benefits include voluntary short-term disability insurance, cancer income protection, and a pre-tax dependent care flexible spending account. Employees are also eligible to participate in a 401K plan with a company match, paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, and a leave share program. Discounts are available for theme parks, gym memberships, and more, emphasizing the company’s dedication to work-life balance and employee well-being.
Panda Express offers continuous career and leadership development, including ongoing education assistance and scholarship opportunities. The company encourages internal promotion, giving you a clear pathway to grow into more advanced management positions. The culture at Panda Express is vibrant, fast-paced, and reliant on effective communication and teamwork. If you are looking to build a rewarding career with a respected employer that stands behind its associates and values inclusivity and equal opportunity, Panda Express invites you to join its family of dedicated professionals.
