Job Description

Founded in Glendale, California, in 1983, Panda Express has grown into the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations globally. The company emphasizes family values, community engagement, and the personal and professional development of its employees, making it a reputable employer in the food service industry. Panda Express offers a dynamic work environment where associates are encouraged to thrive and grow within the company.

The company is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team as Assistant Managers. This role is critical in driving the success of individual store operations by overseeing daily activities, managing associate performance, and ensuring financial goals are met while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The position includes paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and continuous support from the Panda community, designed to help new managers succeed. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, and directing associates, making strategic decisions to optimize store performance, and fostering a positive work environment that aligns with Panda Express's core values.

This full-time role offers competitive compensation, ranging from $29 to $32 per hour depending on location and experience, along with numerous benefits such as medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, 401K with company match, and various wellness and community involvement opportunities. The company places a strong emphasis on employee well-being and growth, providing ongoing career and leadership development, continuous education assistance, and a supportive work culture. Panda Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion, offering reasonable accommodations for all applicants and associates as needed.

Working as an Assistant Manager at Panda Express means being part of a vibrant team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective communication skills, and possess the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage conflict efficiently. The job requires physical stamina such as the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a kitchen environment that can be hot and noisy. This role provides a unique opportunity to advance your career within a respected and growing organization that values effort, teamwork, and leadership.
