Committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences, Panda Express prides itself not only on the quality of its food but also on fostering an inspiring workplace culture rooted in family values. The company is deeply invested in the professional and personal growth of its associates, offering a supportive environment that values mentorship, leadership development, and continuous education. This dedication to associate success echoes throughout their comprehensive benefits and training programs.
The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express is a dynamic leadership opportunity designed for experienced individuals eager to shape the success of a single store. Serving as a key figure in the store management team, the Assistant Manager assists with all operational aspects. This includes recruiting, managing, and directing associates to meet financial targets while ensuring the delivery of an outstanding guest experience. Panda Express offers extensive paid Store Management Leadership Training lasting three or more weeks, designed to prepare you thoroughly for success in this critical role.
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating a positive, productive environment that aligns with company goals and values. Your leadership will directly impact the store’s operational efficiency, team morale, and customer satisfaction. The store management training you receive encompasses hands-on learning combined with mentorship from seasoned professionals within the Panda community. In addition to operational duties, the role will see you implementing company policies, managing workflows during peak hours, and addressing customer concerns with professionalism and empathy.
The position offers a generous compensation package with numerous opportunities for bonuses, emphasizing Panda Express’ commitment to rewarding leadership contributions. The benefits extend beyond standard offerings and include medical, vision, dental, voluntary short-term disability, and cancer income protection insurance for full-time associates. Financial wellness is supported through a 401K plan with company match and a pre-tax dependent care flexible spending account. Associates enjoy paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement and funeral leave, and participation in a Leave Share Program. Additionally, employees benefit from discounts at theme parks and gyms, a robust career and leadership development program, continuous education assistance and scholarships, and a lucrative associate referral bonus. Income protection plans including disability, life, and accidental death and dismemberment are also part of the benefits portfolio.
Candidates interested in the Assistant Manager position should be prepared to meet eligibility requirements and perform the physical demands of the role. This includes standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced and often physically demanding environment with heat and noise factors. Panda Express welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to complying with ADA and providing reasonable accommodations to ensure an inclusive hiring process.
Joining Panda Express as an Assistant Manager means becoming part of a vibrant, inclusive team that values leadership, hard work, and community impact. This role offers not only a rewarding career path with opportunities for growth into higher management but also the chance to positively influence the lives of team members and guests. If you seek a position where your efforts directly contribute to the success of a well-respected industry leader, Panda Express invites you to apply and bring your leadership talents to their growing family.
