Job Description
Panda Express is a leading American fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in Chinese cuisine. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations globally. The brand is widely recognized for delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and maintaining a strong commitment to family values and community impact. As an industry leader, Panda Express prides itself on fostering a supportive culture focused on the personal and professional development of its associates, making it an attractive place to build a career in the restaurant management field.
The company is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team as Assistant Managers. This role is critical in helping operate a single Panda Express store successfully. The Assistant Manager plays a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing daily operations, hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve financial goals and deliver excellent guest experiences. The company supports its Assistant Managers through a comprehensive 3 or more weeks paid Store Management Leadership Training program and ongoing mentorship from its Panda community.
This career opportunity is ideal for candidates who crave a dynamic work environment and seek growth opportunities within an industry-leading brand. Assistant Managers are empowered to make decisions that drive the success of their store and have access to extensive career and leadership development, as well as continuous education assistance and scholarships. The role offers a generous compensation package with bonus opportunities, medical and dental benefits for full-time associates, and various employee perks such as free meals while working, 401K with company matching, paid time off, discounts at theme parks and gyms, and a variety of income protection plans.
Panda Express values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equitable hiring practices. The company also makes reasonable accommodations available for applicants with disabilities during the hiring process, ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Working as an Assistant Manager at Panda Express means being part of a vibrant team culture where associates are genuinely cared for and supported to succeed both professionally and personally.
