This position is a full-time management role focused on hotel operations management as a generalist. The role supports various departments within the hotel, including Front Desk operations (Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, AYS, Concierge/Guest Services), Rooms division (Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry), Food and Beverage outlets (Restaurants, Bars/Lounges, Room Service), and Event Operations (Event Services, Banquets, Event Technology). The manager understands and implements brand standards and operational requirements that drive performance across these departments. Key responsibilities include labor scheduling, shift leadership, guest arrival and departure protocol management, food and beverage operational support, and event setup and execution compliance with standards. The role also involves performing guest room inspections, providing feedback to staff, and ensuring event operations meet guest expectations and event order standards.
The manager supports compliance with brand policies and legal obligations, leads daily team meetings, communicates performance expectations, and trains staff in operational processes. Additionally, the position assists senior managers with financial and administrative duties while striving to improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize financial performance. A notable feature of this position is its involvement in cross-departmental operations, emphasizing leadership, problem solving, and collaborative teamwork to maintain high service standards. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- If no standard educational background, at least 3 years of experience in two areas of hospitality including food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- Experience running a shift, scheduling, performance management, problem solving, day-to-day operation, hospitality skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to lead and influence teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints and problems effectively
- Understanding of financial and budgetary management
- Familiarity with liquor control policies and cash handling
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple departments
- Experience in training and mentoring staff

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Lead daily front desk, housekeeping, or guest services shift operations
- Assist in supervising an effective inspection program for guestrooms and public space
- Attend staff, forecast, pre-con meetings and department meetings
- Encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Ensure knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date
- Perform all duties at the front desk as necessary
- Supervise daily shift operations and ensure compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures
- Support front office areas in absence of managers
- Open and close restaurant, bar, or food and beverage outlet shifts
- Supervise food and beverage operations in absence of director or manager
- Adhere to and reinforce all food and beverage standards, policies and procedures
- Assist floor staff during busy periods
