The Assistant Manager role at QDOBA is integral to supporting the daily operations and overall success of the restaurant. Serving as a key leadership position, the Assistant Manager works closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth management of the restaurant, particularly in the absence of the General Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of guest service and food quality while ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

In this role, the Assistant Manager assists with recruitment, selection, and the training of new hires, ensuring that all team members are effectively prepared to contribute to the restaurant's goals. They play a critical role in coaching and developing staff to adhere to operational systems and elevate the guest experience. The Assistant Manager also helps manage scheduling and assigns tasks to ensure efficient workflow. A strong emphasis is placed on adhering to labor laws and regulations, managing costs, and driving long-term sales growth through strategic initiatives.

Monitoring restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards is a key responsibility that helps maintain the brand image and ensures every guest receives a premium experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years QSR experience with leadership experience
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift 10-50 lbs
  • Ability to speak and hear clearly on telephone and in person
  • Ability to operate a computer or tablet
  • If delivering catering orders, must have an operable personal cell phone and use it to track orders according to company safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years QSR experience with at least one year in a leadership position
  • Excellent prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager with new hire recruitment, selection, and training efforts
  • In conjunction with the General Manager, responsible for training and development of restaurant staff
  • Assign activities and tasks
  • Comply with all state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Manage daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance
  • Hold restaurant team accountable for delivering excellent guest service and food quality in adherence to brand systems and food safety requirements
  • Review practices and modify as needed to continuously improve the guest experience
