Job Description

Our company is a dynamic and well-established food service provider known for its commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional culinary experiences in high-volume commercial kitchens. We operate with a strong team-focused culture where efficiency, food safety, and customer satisfaction are top priorities. Our culinary environment is fast-paced and demands attentive leadership and rigorous adherence to health and safety standards. As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Manager (AM) to join our kitchen management team and support in delivering excellence across all operations.

The Assistant Manager position is a crucial role within our kitchen, reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager while also stepping up to lead in their absence. This role is designed for a proactive leader with a coaching mindset, dedicated to supporting kitchen staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for supervising kitchen employees, overseeing equipment and food inventories, and coordinating regular maintenance and cleaning schedules. Practical experience in managing a commercial kitchen environment with a focus on sanitation practices and food handling is essential.

In this position, the Assistant Manager will be expected to collaborate closely with the Kitchen Manager to implement effective operational strategies that prioritize food safety and quality. Key responsibilities include guiding kitchen staff in food preparation and production processes, enforcing health and safety protocols, managing inventory logs, and supporting ongoing staff training and development. Additionally, the AM will play an active role in the logistical aspects of the kitchen such as organizing equipment maintenance and supporting meal delivery efforts when needed.

This role requires a hands-on approach where the candidate must demonstrate the ability to multitask, adapt quickly to changing demands, and lead with a positive and instructional attitude. Strong communication skills are vital for coaching team members and maintaining coordination within kitchen operations.

Overall, the Assistant Manager is integral to ensuring a safe, compliant, and productive kitchen environment that meets and exceeds the expectations of our customers and regulatory bodies. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced kitchen management professional who is passionate about fostering teamwork and operational excellence in a challenging and rewarding culinary setting. If you have at least two years of management experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen and possess the necessary certifications and leadership skills, we encourage you to apply for this pivotal role.
