Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of related work experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • State of Hawai'i Board of Private Security Certification
  • Able to follow departmental and company procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Able to inspect equipment with a high level of detail
  • Maintains a professional, positive and friendly demeanor
  • Excellent customer service, listening and communication skills
  • Experience with defusing and resolving situations with patrons/customers
  • Must be able to remain in an extended stationary position for entire shift of 8-10 hours
  • Must be able to walk, run or move quickly to respond to emergency situations
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays and additional hours as venue schedule requires
  • First Aid, CPR/AED Certification
  • Proficient in report writing
  • Maintain working knowledge of security and transportation processes and best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously in a team setting exhibiting the aloha spirit

Job Duties

  • Disseminates department/company policy information and ensures compliance
  • Provides day-to-day management of Event Security Officers to meet the needs of the venue and client(s)
  • Creates and manages labor schedules and attendance
  • Maintain ESO schedules using approved scheduling program, including creation of event, random scheduling of ESOs, approval of hours worked for payroll and billing purposes
  • Manage ESOs on duty working events, including proper placement of staff, attend to requests from ESOs on duty, ensure that on-site customer is satisfied with security services, coordinate with CSO staff and on-duty security supervisor, manage last minute changes and adjustments to security staff assignments
  • Prepare for and attend weekly internal meetings concerning on-going and future events
  • Prepare for and attend meetings with customers concerning event security
  • Reports violations to company and/or department policies to upper management and/or Human Resources
  • Disseminates reports to executive management and/or other staff
  • Properly monitors pertinent information from management and communicates information to staff
  • May perform patrolling duties or shift/post relief to assist reports
  • Investigates and seeks resolution of client issues
  • Perform random and periodic checks of event security personnel and correct any deficiencies
  • May assist in providing regular safety training to staff
  • Assist Building Security in maintaining event parking
  • Acts as first responder in emergency evacuations and crisis scenarios
  • Assist in evacuation of employees, contractors and visitors
  • Manage crisis scenarios when needed
  • May administer CPR/AED or First Aid in emergencies
  • Assist in investigations of incidents
  • Creates and manages purchase orders related to event security
  • Create and manage client quotes
  • Reconcile client billing/invoicing
  • Ensure accuracy in financial management
  • Manages contract labor schedule
  • Maintains relationship with vendor and holds regular meetings
  • Manages contract labor costs in budget
