Job Description

Dunkin' is an iconic brand recognized across the United States for keeping America moving every day by serving fresh brewed coffee, donuts, and a variety of delicious food items. As a leading name in the quick-service restaurant industry, Dunkin' is committed to supporting its employees, known as the ingredients of goodness, who work cohesively to create a welcoming environment for customers. The company operates through a network of franchisees who own and manage individual locations, ensuring that each restaurant delivers the high-quality service and products customers expect. Serving millions daily, Dunkin' focuses on community involvement, employee growth, and operational excellence.

This role is for an Assistant Restaurant Manager position within the Little General Network, a franchise organization that operates Dunkin' restaurants. The Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager and plays an essential role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This positions you as a pivotal team leader helping to ensure smooth shift operations, local store marketing, and achievement of sales and profit goals. The Assistant Manager also oversees team member training, performance, and development initiatives to build a positive and guest-focused restaurant culture.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will have a leadership role that involves performing all duties of the Restaurant Manager when they are absent. Your responsibilities will cover floor operations, execution of brand training programs, enforcement of brand standards, and ensuring compliance with franchise policies as well as all applicable laws. You will lead team meetings alongside the Restaurant Manager, coordinate schedules and training for shift leads and team members, and support marketing initiatives including new product rollouts.

Beyond operations, you will help foster a high level of guest satisfaction by creating and maintaining a welcoming environment, reviewing guest feedback, and implementing improvements. Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety is also a key responsibility that ensures the restaurant sustains a secure and healthy environment for everyone involved.

Strong operational skills are essential, including inventory control, budget management, labor scheduling, cash handling, and vendor relations. Your leadership will directly contribute to sales growth, profitability, and exceptional guest experiences. Additionally, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing restaurant staff will be under your purview, along with coaching your team to enhance performance and engagement.

Dunkin' offers a variety of benefits aimed at promoting employee well-being and career growth. These include a flexible work schedule, free shift meals, ongoing training and education, opportunities for advancement within the brand, paid time off, retirement savings plans like 401(k), and medical, dental, and vision benefits. Employees also have the chance to participate in community and charitable activities, reflecting the company’s commitment to social responsibility. Dunkin' welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds and encourages anyone interested in leadership roles within retail, restaurant, or hospitality settings to apply, whether or not they identify as coffee lovers.
