The open leadership role at the Jersey Mike's Grand Avenue location is ideal for individuals with leadership experience or those aspiring to become General Managers. The position begins with an 8 to 12-week full-time Assistant General Manager In Training program, offering guaranteed pay of $20.00 per hour plus tips. Upon successful completion of the training, candidates transition to the fully trained Assistant General Manager role, receiving a guaranteed $21.50 per hour plus tips and an EBIDTA bonus, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding high performance and operational excellence.

This leadership role emphasizes training with hands-on and in-house development, preparing you to lead a team of professionals who collectively work to serve amazing guests and maintain operational standards. As an Assistant General Manager, you'll work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where multitasking and maintaining urgency are key to providing the exceptional experience Jersey Mike's customers expect. Responsibilities include handling opening and closing store tasks, managing inventory, creating employee schedules, leading and supporting a crew of 3 to 7 team members, and stepping in for the General Manager as needed. A critical component of this role involves engaging guests with an excellent menu and product knowledge, a friendly and outgoing personality, and outstanding communication skills.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • valid driver's license
  • must complete and obtain company-paid ServSafe Managers Certification within the training period
  • reliable transportation
  • familiar with Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • must be able to work in any area of the restaurant when needed
  • ability to bend, stand, and walk the entire day
  • ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule
