The Restaurant Assistant Manager position at AES Restaurant Group is a critical leadership role responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and guiding a team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role entails a blend of managerial responsibilities including team hiring, training, coaching, and motivating staff to uphold high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness within the restaurant. The Assistant Manager collaborates closely with the General Manager to ensure operational excellence, financial health, and outstanding customer service. Core aspects of the role include implementing restaurant controls with a focus on cash and inventory management, utilizing AES proprietary systems to drive efficiency, and continuously striving to meet restaurant goals related to service delivery, operational processes, and financial outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Must be ServSafe certified or capable of obtaining certification
  • Ability to work in warm and cold temperatures
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders for general maintenance
  • Ability to perform motions such as bending, squatting, twisting, pulling, reaching

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure your team provides outstanding service and satisfied guests
  • Hire, train & coach the team
  • Utilize AES systems to run a great restaurant every shift, every day
  • Implement restaurant controls, especially cash & inventory
  • Set and meet restaurant goals for service, operations and financial results
  • Work with the General Manager to achieve high performance in operations, profit and loss, guest satisfaction, customer service, speed of service, quality control, workplace safety, utilizing all systems and tools
  • Follow all government regulations, employment law, food safety and operations policies and implement all accounting controls
