Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Five years of experience in aviation, airline, emergency management or transportation operations considered in lieu of degree
- Ability to pass criminal history records check as mandated by 46 CFR Part 1542
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Card with airfield Movement Area Driving and Escort Privileges
- Availability to respond to airport emergencies 24/7 including holidays and outside regular shifts
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aviation management, emergency management, business administration, transportation or related field from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated experience in Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or Airport Operations Center (AOC) or related
- Experience in airport operations and management procedures, emergency operations, airline or air traffic control operations
- Knowledge of Federal Regulations and Advisory Circulars, particularly 14 CFR Part 139 and 46 CFR 1542
- Knowledge of airline industry business and operating practices
- Experience delivering customer service and communications programs in high operational environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and formulas
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and utilize sound judgment in operational and emergency situations
Job Duties
- Combine elements of routine coordination, assistance and planning, Common Operating Picture (COP) management, critical information management, and stakeholder engagement at local, state and federal levels
- Act as ranking management representative onsite outside normal business hours coordinating facility operations, maintenance and construction activities and responding to airport incidents and emergencies
- Monitor, manage and analyze operational data to ensure safe, efficient and coordinated airport activity across stakeholders
- Support ongoing development and growth of AOC and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) facilities, operational plans, concepts of operations (CONOPS) and standard operational procedures (SOP) aligned with industry best practices
- Provide staff training, ensure equipment readiness, conduct periodic training exercises, recommend improvements and perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain effective working relationships with AOC partners and local airport community
