Job Description

The hiring establishment is a well-established restaurant operating within the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector, known for delivering high-quality dining experiences and maintaining exceptional guest service standards. This restaurant prides itself on maintaining compliance with all company and government safety regulations and creating a positive, inspiring environment for both its staff and clientele. The company culture emphasizes employee development, operational excellence, and consistent customer satisfaction, positioning itself as a leader in the restaurant industry. The establishment is committed to protecting its assets with integrity, including cash, equipment, and inventory, and holds its management team accountable for short and long-term success through solid operational and fiscal performance.

The role available is that of Assistant Manager, a critical management position responsible for assisting in the comprehensive management of restaurant operations. This is a full-time role that demands a proactive leader who can ensure adherence to company guest service standards, audit procedures, administrative functions, human resource policies, safety and security protocols, as well as financial goals. The Assistant Manager supports the recruitment and training of restaurant team members, implements development initiatives, and builds a motivating work environment that encourages excellence and team cohesion.

This position requires a hands-on approach to leading the team by example, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction and compliance with all regulatory and company standards. The Assistant Manager is entrusted with tracking and managing financial controllables such as labor costs, food and supply usage, and cash management while safeguarding company assets. Operational responsibilities include ensuring that all training programs are followed, the restaurant environment remains clean and safe, and all safety and sanitation codes are observed. The role also involves maintaining effective communication channels, assisting with employee performance management, and resolving guest complaints promptly using company-approved methods.

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in employee relations by conducting performance reviews, offering timely feedback, applying constructive disciplinary actions when necessary, and escalating significant matters to senior management or human resources to minimize legal exposure. They collaborate closely with the restaurant team, management, and external vendors to maintain operational efficiency and customer loyalty. The position demands a strong commitment to upholding company values, executing marketing programs, and adapting labor schedules according to business trends. Ultimately, the Assistant Manager is instrumental in driving the restaurant's success through leadership, operational expertise, and a guest-focused mindset.
