Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant assistant management or equivalent supervisory roles, preferably in full service
  • Food Safety Manager certification
  • State Alcohol certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and some evenings
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work shifts between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm or as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant assistant management or equivalent supervisory roles, preferably in full service
  • Food Safety Manager certification required
  • State Alcohol certification required
  • Proven experience performing in a similar role
  • Strong organizational skills with effective communication in English
  • Strong math skills and experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and some evenings
  • Ability to adhere to brand standards
  • Ability to interpret financial statements
  • Ability to perform job duties of every cafe position
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle high stress situations while maintaining a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Support the General Manager in achieving restaurant goals in guest satisfaction, sales, profitability, food quality, and sanitation
  • Ensure each guest and team member receive an exceptional experience at his/her Keke's cafe on every shift
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to uphold Keke's brand and operational standards
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations of hourly staff
  • Ensure food products are consistently prepared and served according to Keke's recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Participate in employee relations, including administering corrective action and policy compliance
  • Perform cash handling, reconciliation, and daily deposits accurately and according to policy
  • Review financial data, including profit-and-loss statements, and take corrective actions to achieve controllable profit targets
  • Prepare required paperwork, forms, schedules, and reports in an organized, timely manner
  • Oversee food and supply receiving processes to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment, dining areas, and restrooms to maintain cleanliness and functionality
  • Support the General Manager and build strong community relationships to drive guest counts and promote Keke's in the local market
  • Provide leadership presence during peak periods and jump in as needed to assist hourly team members
  • Consistently model Keke's hospitality values and uphold a positive, respectful workplace
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
