This role is for an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) at the new Insomnia Cookies bakery located at 10520 S. Eastern Ave, Henderson, NV 89052. The ABOM is a crucial leadership position designed to act as an extension of the Bakery Operations Manager (BOM) and must embody both operational expertise and team leadership capabilities. This role involves hands-on management of bakery operations including inventory control, scheduling, staffing coordination, and administrative duties. The ABOM supports maintaining the highest standards of product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and an exceptional guest experience. Key operational responsibilities also include supporting ordering processes, ensuring inventory accuracy, and implementing shrink control measures to optimize bakery performance.

Beyond operational duties, the ABOM fosters talent development by recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members. They deliver consistent coaching and real-time feedback to ensure team members meet company standards and cultivate a growth mindset culture. This leadership role requires maintaining team accountability and executing structured onboarding and training programs.

The ABOM will be entrusted with managing the bakery operations independently in the absence of the BOM. This requires modeling urgency, accountability, and operational discipline to ensure continuity of operations, especially during leadership transitions or staffing shortages. The role demands the ability to identify operational gaps in partnership with BOM and area leadership and collaboratively implement effective solutions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage bakery operational tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to perform all bakery roles when necessary

Job Duties

  • Execute all core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists
  • Maintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards
  • Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control
  • Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff
  • Deliver consistent coaching and real-time performance feedback
  • Hold team members accountable to standards while reinforcing a growth mindset culture
  • Ensure onboarding and training programs are executed to company standards
  • Manage bakery operations independently in the absence of the BOM
  • Model urgency, accountability, and operational discipline
  • Partner with BOM and Area leadership to identify operational gaps and implement solutions
  • Maintain continuity of operations during leadership transitions or staffing shortages
  • Perform other duties as assigned
