Job Description

Panda Express is a leading American fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in American Chinese cuisine. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, with nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. The company prides itself on upholding strong family values and fostering a supportive environment that inspires employees to better their lives both professionally and personally. Committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences, Panda Express emphasizes employee development, community engagement, and creating an inclusive workplace for all. The organization’s culture is built around mentorship, leadership training, and collective success, making it a desirable workplace for those seeking growth and career advancement.

The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express involves a pivotal leadership position within a single store's operations. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve the store’s financial goals while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a dynamic individual who can thrive in fast-paced environments, maintain high standards of food safety, and adapt to changing priorities efficiently. To ensure success in this role, Panda Express provides an extensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting three or more weeks. This training equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead effectively and manage daily store operations confidently. The position demands strong communication skills, conflict resolution abilities, and the physical stamina to perform duties in a fast-moving, often physically demanding work environment.

In return for your dedication, Panda Express offers a generous compensation package with bonus opportunities, free meals while working, and comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, dental, short-term disability, and cancer income protection insurance for full-time associates. Additional benefits include a 401K plan with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, flexible spending accounts, discounts, community involvement opportunities, continuous education assistance, career and leadership development programs, and a lucrative employee referral bonus. The job also adheres to all federal, state, and local laws, ensuring equal opportunity employment and reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This opportunity is ideal for individuals dedicated to personal and professional development in a respected and fast-growing company that values its people and community.
