Job Description
Panda Express, established in 1983 and headquartered in Glendale, California, is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Express is dedicated to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to its guests. Over the years, Panda Express has grown from its humble beginnings into a successful and well-respected brand in the fast-casual dining industry. The company prides itself on fostering a culture that values family, respect, and continuous improvement, both within its stores and in the communities it serves. Known as a leader in its sector, Panda Express maintains its commitment to the professional and personal development of its associates by providing robust training programs, leadership development opportunities, and a supportive community that champions the success of every team member.
As part of its continued growth, Panda Express is currently seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join its store management team as Assistant Managers. This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and leadership to build a rewarding career with an industry leader. The position is full-time and comes with a comprehensive compensation package, including bonus opportunities and a host of benefits designed to support the health and wellbeing of employees. More importantly, Panda Express invests heavily in the growth and preparation of its Assistant Managers through a paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting three or more weeks, providing hands-on, practical learning experiences to set candidates up for success.
In the role of Assistant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the operation of a single Panda Express store. This includes hiring, managing, and directing associates to meet financial goals and ensure an exceptional guest experience at all times. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in driving store success by implementing company standards, maintaining food quality and safety, and fostering an engaging, inclusive environment for both team members and guests. Candidates will receive ongoing leadership development and career growth opportunities, reflecting Panda Express's mission to build an organization where people are inspired to better their lives and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
The role requires flexibility, leadership ability, and a customer-focused approach. Ideal candidates will be those who can adapt to a fast-paced environment, lead by example, and demonstrate effective communication and conflict management skills. In return, Panda Express offers a competitive work environment with a variety of perks including free meals during shifts, medical, vision, and dental insurance options for full-time associates, a 401K plan with company match, paid time off and holidays, and discounts on gym memberships and theme parks among others. This role ensures employees are supported not just professionally but personally as well, making it a well-rounded career opportunity in the restaurant management industry.
