As an Assistant Manager at KFC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager by upholding KFC's brand standards and driving the team towards operational excellence. In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will take charge of daily operations in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager. This role offers a balanced workweek of 50 hours, including 40 hours at regular pay and 10 hours at time and a half, providing a fair and competitive compensation structure.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by modeling KFC's Connect Success Routine, overseeing team adherence to shift responsibilities, and maintaining high food safety standards. You will collaborate closely with the Restaurant General Manager to assess team performance, provide constructive feedback, and address employee relations issues promptly. Additionally, you will assist in recruitment efforts, help manage profit and loss by handling cash control, inventory maintenance, labor management, and reviewing financial reports to optimize restaurant performance.

The position also involves supporting facility maintenance and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently met, creating a safe and welcoming environment for both employees and customers. Job Requirements

  • Two plus years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Experience with profit and loss management including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance and labor management
  • Ability to provide proper training and resources to employees

  • Strong leadership skills in recognizing, collaborating with and motivating teams
  • Experience with recruitment and hiring processes
  • Strong communication skills in performance appraisals and disciplinary actions
  • Adherence to corporate policies, procedures and occupational health and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of restaurant or retail management experience

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • Oversee team members' adherence to shift responsibilities and maintain high food safety standards
  • Take charge of restaurant operations in the Restaurant General Manager's absence
  • Collaborate with the RGM in assessing team performance and providing ongoing constructive and positive feedback
  • Address employee relations issues as they arise, determine immediate resolutions or escalate to the RGM when necessary
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and hiring team members while driving a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Assist with profit and loss management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance and labor management
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • Support the RGM in facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed
